Lungless Frog

Assalamualaikum and Hello to fellow naturalists~

Attention people! - There's another new discovery of an animal species and it's -CROAK! oops sorry- it's a new FROG species.

What's so special about a frog? You might think. But hear this: This amphibian is lungless. The frog, named Barbourula Kalimantanensis gets all its oxygen through its skin. It is found in Borneo, somewhere in Kalimantan.

Evolutionary Oddity
Previously the only four-limbed creatures known to lack lungs were salamanders. A species of earthworm-like, limbless amphibian called a caecillian is also lungless. Tetrapods, or four-limbed creatures, that develop without lungs are rare evolutionary events.

Ok that's all for now,
Ameera
